History and future developments
FABBRI company was founded in 1946 in France by Mr René Fabbri, the current director's father. The present director, Frédéric Fabbri, introduces his son, Olivier Fabbri, ensuring the company's continued success throughout the generations.
In the early years, the company started its activity in the boilemaking industry and the general machining business, and achieved very special projects for the paper and chemical industry using a new material: stainless steel.
Over the years, the company developed industrial competence and unequaled know-how.In the 1960's FABBRI shifted its activity to the food processing and winemaking industries. This successful move placed the company as the leading manufacturer to use stainless steel, while FABBRI was able to offer the latest processes such as welding with an argon gas shield.
This exciting activity allowed FABBRI to propose innovative products (see brochure) to "Cooperatives" wineries and private customers by suggesting new methods and demonstrating the ability to fight a project to completion in an industry known for its competitive prices.
FABBRI company was one of the first to propose all metal grape harvest receiving bins, portable with wheels and operating in accordance to the grape harvest. FABBRI was among the first to build flattened pipes for cooling of wines (patented) and to experiment and develop a cooling cover. The company innovated in the creation and experimentation of different systems of self-empyting tanks, such as the tank with bars that serves the customers all over the world.
Since the early years, FABBRI has registered invention patents with organizations like the Technical Institute of Wine, Sima, ANVAR (French Innovation Agency) and received the following distinctions:
1982: Remarkable Equipment Award
1987: Gold Medal given by the Encouragement Commission for the Technical Search
1989: Remarkable Equipment Award
FABBRI is recognized in the industry as a creative company: it was the first to introduce and apply programmable automation in the control of the pneumatic press.Today, world manufacturers utilize this idea.
Another innovation of the firm was the construction of an equipment able to build spirals for stainless steel pipes with an incline of 50°. This method significantly augments the coefficient of change K and reduces cooling losses.
The firm expanded its business by bringing modern features to the equipment. The most relevant example is the tank with bars LA REFERENCE (see above), a patented equipment that is used in China, Mexico, Chile, Australia, South Africa and Spain. A new adaptation of this model, prototyped for the grape harvest in 1994 and 1995, is the Tank HR (High ouput) which allows (statistically) 75% draining of the must.
Through its continuing collaboration with ANVAR, FABBRI company develops new products, which are filtration, racking must, protoype systems for plunging and a new equipment using vacuum for the extraction of colors.
In 1998, the hard work and dedication of the quality department allowed the firm to obtain the standard certification ISO 9002 and in 2003, the certification ISO 9001:2000.
In 1999, FABBRI increased the size of the facility and invested in new technology machinery to respond to the ever-growing demand of the customers. |
